Changes are Afoot

In June of 2013, I started this blog as a way to avoid succumbing to Baby Brain and to distract me from a major disappointment; a little British business called Magpie Models was for sale and we just couldn't see how we could swing the purchase.

Fast forward seven months and we find ourselves back in negotiations for the company. In November of 2014, we completed the purchase. It took us a few months before we could find time to drive down to Braintree to collect Magpie, but we managed to make the trip in January 2015. That's about 480 miles in a moving van for the non-UK readers.

For a variety of reasons we kept the purchase very quiet over the next few years while we constructed a workshop and lined up supplies and printers and such. Now we're in the final stages and hoping to open in September of 2017!

Why am I rambling about Magpie Model Horses on a Breyer Stablemate blog? Due to the time commitment required, this will be the last year for Many Mini Hooves. Posts will continue until our fourth birthday when we will finish the Generation Three molds. I feel this is a good stopping point, though I haven't exhausted all of my material.

The blog posts and pictures will remain online for future reference. MMH may return one day once I settle into my new role.

If you're interested in seeing what Magpie Model Horses is all about, pop on over to our website. Magpie can be found on many social media platforms and has its own forum, blog, and reference site, too.

I want to thank all of our readers for following us and everyone who has contributed to our posts. It's been a brilliant run.

Play Sets: The Saddle Club Rides Again

Waaaay back in 1994 Breyer had a brief fling with Bonnie Bryant's The Saddle Club book series. In 2008, coinciding with the airing of the third and final season of The Saddle Club TV series, Breyer released a line of merchandise tie-ins with plushies, Mini Whinnies, Traditionals, Classics, and of course, Stablemates.

All of the Stablemate sets are based on episodes from the first season which aired in 2001.
