Happy 1st Birthday, Many Mini Hooves!

One year ago today the first post for Many Mini Hooves was published!

According to a 1975 price list, the first batch of Stablemate molds was scheduled to be released in three batches that year, January, May, and September2. In celebration of our 1st birthday and of the 39th(!) birthday just past of the May 1975 mold releases - Native Dancer, Seabiscuit, Silky Sullivan, and Swaps - here's a scan from the 1976 catalogue of the first complete Stablemate line.

The 1975 catalogue only showed the Arabians, Citation, Saddlebred, and Thoroughbred Mare and Foals, as they were the first batch released in January. After the other race horses joined the line in May, the rest of the molds were sent to dealers in September of that same year, but they didn't appear in catalogues until 19762.

I don't expect this blog to have anything near the lifespan of the Stablemate line, but here's to another few years. I hope you all enjoyed the posts this week and will stick around to see what the next year will bring.

A big thank you to all of our readers this year!
