Profile: G1 Morgan Mare #495092 & #711094

Sears & JCPenney Special Run
#495092 Stablemate Assortment IV & #711094 12-Piece Stablemates Set
1992 & 1994

This pretty little chocolate coloured Morgan mare could be called liver chestnut, but there is another option: Silver! Now, you could go for a plain old dark bay silver, or you could get a little more exotic with smokey black silver.

The owners of Positively Charmed, the first registered smokey black silver Morgan, documented their filly's changing colour as she grew and around about the weanling age, you can see a strong resemblance to this model's colour. As for breed assignment, you don't have to look any further than the Morgan Colors website to see lovely examples of the silver colour in the Morgan breed.

If a Morgan doesn't float your boat, check out the Rocky Mountain Horse breed which is known for its silver horses. I've done quite well showing this model as a Rocky Mountain Horse for several years.
