JCPenney Special Run
#710695 Set of 12 Miniatures
This special run was the first time the G1 Arabian Mare appeared with appaloosa markings. Her interesting colouring - bay/chestnut spots with grey points - could best be explained by calling her a bay varnish roan blanket or semi-leopard appaloosa as varnish tends to do weird things to black pigment.
My own real pony looked a bit like this, when he was wet you could see he used to be a dark horse with large-ish blanket, but when he was dry he looked like a white horse with a few spots over his rump. His mane, tail, and legs were also a smudgy dark colour, much like our Arabian Mare here, not quite this light, but we have to work with what Breyer throws at us.
Arabians do not come in appaloosa, so you will need to come up with some sort of cross-breed - Ara-Appaloosa is an easy way to go. With proper documentation, you could even make a case for her being a registered appaloosa as the ApHC (scroll down to "Section B: Foal Information") allow one Arabian parent, but you would be unlikely to have much success in the show ring as judging tends to favour the 'stock-type' models.
